Homemade Pizza
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 large Tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. scalded (cooled) milk
- 1/8 c. warm water
- 1/3 pkg. active dry yeast
- minced garlic
- oregano leaves
- 1 pkg. pepperoni
- 1 1/2 pkg. Mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 Kraft pizza sauce
- Mix dry yeast in warm water until dissolved.
- When milk has cooled, add beaten egg and salt.
- Cut shortening into flour and add to mixture.
- Knead dough with hands until springy and has a satin-like finish.
- Place, covered, in a warm area and let rise until double in bulk or place in refrigerator until next day.
- Roll onto 15-inch pizza pan.
- Bake partially (10 minutes at 350u0b0); add sauce, spice, Mozzarella cheese and pepperoni; cook until done at 400u0b0.
