Granddad’S Chili
- 1 whole Chopped Yellow Onion
- 1 pound Pork Sausage
- 1 pound Ground Beef, 80/20
- 1 can (28 Oz. Size) Tomato Sauce
- 1 can (8 Oz. Size) Tomato Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1 Tablespoon Cumin
- 1/2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- 2 dashes Salt And Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons (or More) Chili Powder
- 1 can (15.5 Oz. Size) Pinto Beans
- 1 can (15.5 Oz. Size) Kidney Beans
- 1 can (15.5 Oz. Size) Black Beans
- Cook chopped onion, pork, and beef in a large pot until browned. (I've substituted with deer meat before and it's also delicious.) Drain the fat, add tomato sauce and paste and bring to a low boil. Then add seasoning to taste, you may want more or less than the recipe calls for. Drain beans and rinse in a colander until they aren't slimy anymore and add to the pot. Cook about 20-30 minutes until beans are tender. You may want to add a few teaspoons of flour if you want to make it a bit thicker. Serve with cheese and sour cream in a bowl, with Fritos or tortilla chips, or on top of a tortilla! Perfect for a big dinner party, a tailgate, or when your family is in town. Enjoy!
