Banana Chocolate Bread
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Vanilla Salt, (regular Salt Is Fine To Use As Well)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Mashed Banana (about 3 Bananas)
- 1/3 cups Walnut Oil
- 1/4 cups Milk
- 1 cup Crushed Walnuts
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- FOR THE DRIZZLE:
- 2 ounces, weight Semi-sweet Chocolate
- 2 ounces, fluid Cream, I Used Whipping
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
- In another large bowl beat the eggs, banana, oil, and milk.
- Now add your dry ingredients to your wet ingredients and fold in until incorporated. Do not over mix.
- Now add walnuts and chocolate chips. Fold in lightly.
- Pour mixture into a greased loaf pan or bundt pan.
- Bake for about 50- 55 minutes. Toothpick will come out clean when done.
- Remove from oven and let cool in pan for about 10 minutes. Then remove it from the pan and let cool completely.
- While it is cooling you can make your drizzle.
- Start by putting some water in the bottom of a double boiler. Now stack the double boiler pans and turn on medium to low heat.
- Once water is heated up nicely add you chocolate into the top bowl of the double boiler and melt.
- Let the chocolate cool for a few minutes then add milk or cream, whisking until smooth.
- Pour over banana chocolate loaf.
- Let chocolate cool.
- Serve with a chocolately smile.
