Chocolate-Wine Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Sift flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, beat together sugar and oil. Beat in one egg at a time until just combined. Alternate mixing in dry ingredients and red wine. Lastly, stir in boiling water.
  4. Pour batter into a greased and floured bundt pan. Bake 40-50 minutes (this will vary depending on your oven). It's done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow to cool completely, turn onto a plate, top with chocolate ganache (optional) and serve!
