Marinara – Tomato Basil
- 5 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 whole Onion, (small, Yellow Or Red), Chopped
- 1 whole Carrot, Chopped
- 5 whole Tomatoes, Chopped (about 6 Cups)
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 cups Basil Leaves
- 2 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 10 dashes Cracked Black Pepper (or Ten Turns Of Your Pepper Mill)
- 1 Tablespoon Dry Basil
- 1 Tablespoon Italian Seasoning
- Mince garlic. Chop onion and carrots. Chop tomatoes.
- Heat a large saucepan. Once hot, add olive oil, garlic, onions and carrots. Saute until soft.
- Reduce heat to low. Add tomatoes and cook until they are breaking down. Add basil leaves and continue to stir until they wilt.
- Add sea salt, cracked black pepper, dry basil and Italian seasoning; stir. Pour everything into the blender and blend.
- This made about 40 ounces of sauce. Serve over any cooked pasta of your choice.
