Make A Million Bran Muffins
- 2 cups Boiling Water
- 2 cups All Bran Cereal
- 1 cup Shortening
- 4 whole Eggs
- 1 quart Buttermilk (or Soured Milk)
- 4 cups Flour
- 4 cups Bran Flakes
- 3 cups White Sugar
- 4 Tablespoons (small) Baking Soda
- 1 Tablespoon Salt
- 2 cups Raisins
- Combine boiling water, All Bran, and shortening into a measuring cup and allow to cool.
- Once it has cooled, combine it with eggs, buttermilk, and sugar in a medium size bowl.
- In a large bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Pour wet ingredients into the dry and gently stir to combine. Gently stir in the raisins.
- Cover tightly with plastic wrap and allow to sit, refrigerated, for one day.
- Scoop out and bake at 400u0b0F for approximately 20 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.
- Uncooked mixture will last at least a week, tightly covered, in the fridge.
- Will (eventually) make 6-7 dozen muffins.
