Cranberry-Apple Salad

  1. Using a large boiler or saucepan, melt cranberry sauce over medium heat.
  2. Once the sauce has liquified, stir well and reduce heat.
  3. Mix into the sauce liquid, 1 cup boiling water and the jello.
  4. Stir until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  5. Add lemon juice and salt.
  6. Add to this mixture, the mayonnaise.
  7. Beat with hand beater, not electric mixer, until all ingredients are smooth. Fold in the diced apple and chopped pecans.
  8. Pour into a greased mold.
  9. (Use a dapple of mayonnaise to coat inside of mold.)
  10. Chill overnight, covered.
  11. This is great with Thanksgiving dressing.
