Dinah’S Scones
- 2 cups Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/4 cups Sugar
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 stick Margarine
- 1/2 cups Dried Fruit (craisins)
- 3/4 cups Half-and-half
- Milk, To Brush On Scones
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar For Sprinkling
- Whisk all dry ingredients together in mixing bowl.
- Cut cold margarine into 1/4-inch cubes and cut into dry ingredients, until the size of large peas. Stir in craisins. Add half-and-half. Stir until just combined. Do not overwork the dough.
- Form into a soft dough. Place dough on a greased baking sheet and press into an 8-inch circle. With a clean knife, score the dough to form 8 wedges. Brush with a little milk. Sprinkle with sugar.
- Bake at 400u0b0F for 20-25 minutes or until light brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
