Strawberry Blueberry Jam

  1. Stir sugar into strawberries and blueberries.
  2. Set aside 10 minutes; stir occasionally.
  3. Stir fruit pectin and water into saucepan.
  4. Bring to a boil on high heat, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir pectin mixture into fruit mixture.
  7. Stir constantly until sugar is completely dissolved and no longer grainy, about 3 minutes (some sugar crystals may remain).
  8. Pour into clean plastic containers to within 1/2-inch of tops; cover.
  9. Let stand 24 hours.
  10. Jam is now ready to use.
  11. Store in refrigerator or freeze extra containers. Makes about four 1-cup containers.
