Corn Casserole

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, beat together the butter and cream cheese. Stir in the cream-style and kernel corn, green chilies, onion, salt and pepper. Transfer to a greased 8x12 baking dish. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with fried onions. Bake 15 minutes longer.
  2. Another way to prepare this corn dish is in a slow cooker. Place all the ingredients except the fried onions in a small crockpot. Heat on medium or high for 2-3 hours, stirring once or twice. At serving time sprinkle the fried onions on top.
