Cinnamon Apple Overnight Oatmeal (Crockpot)

  1. Spray a 3 1/2 quart (or larger) crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Add all of the ingredients to the crock pot. Stir, cover and cook on low for 7 hours. Serve and top with any of the add-ins, if desired. (I topped off our bowls with about 2 tablespoons soy milk and added some more brown sugar.)
  3. The additions are completely up to the preferences of who is eating the oatmeal. You can add chopped nuts, raisins, maple syrup, more sugar, or more milk to your bowl of oatmeal to get the flavor and consistency you prefer.
  4. To reheat single servings: Add 1 cup of oatmeal into a microwave-safe bowl and add a few tablespoons of milk, until you get the desired thickness. Microwave on 1 minute on high, stir, and microwave some more until hot.
  5. (Recipe based on The Yummy Life's Slow Cooker, Apple Cinnamon Steel-Cut Oatmeal.)
