Herb Rice Pilaf

  1. Saute rice, celery and onion in margarine until rice is brown, stirring constantly. Add other ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover, simmer 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes before serving. Fluff with a fork before serving.
  2. Notes: If I happen to have fresh mushrooms, I slice and saute some with the rice. Poultry seasoning can be used to replace the sage and thyme-use 1 teaspoon.
