Apple Cake With Carmel Sauce
- FOR THE CAKE:
- 1/4 sticks Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 2 cups Chopped Granny Smith Apples
- 1/2 cups Chopped Walnuts
- FOR THE CARAMEL SAUCE:
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 1/4 cups Brown Suagr
- 1/4 cups Heavy Cream
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x9 cake pan.
- In a bowl cream stick butter and sugar and then add the egg. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl combine all the dry ingredients (flour through baking powder on the above list). Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Last fold in the apples and walnuts.(This will look dry but it will work). Press batter into prepared pan. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with caramel sauce.
- For the caramel sauce bring butter, brown sugar, and heavy cream to a boil in a heavy sauce pan for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Drizzle over the cake.
