Apple Butterscotch Cake
- 2 cups Dark Brown Sugar, Firmly Packed
- 1 cup Butter, Melted
- 2 Large Eggs, Beaten
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour, Whole Wheat Mix
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 3 cups Granny Smith Apples (peeled, Cored And Diced)
- 1 cup Pecans, Chopped
- 1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
- 2. In a large bowl stir together brown sugar, butter, eggs, and vanilla.
- 3. In another bowl stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; add this into the brown sugar mixture, stirring until blended.
- 4. Mix in apples and pecans. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13 pan, spread in an even layer.
- 5. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until a wooden toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely (about 1 hour). Cut into squares.
