Spiked Hot Apple Cider
- 1/2 gallons Apple Cider Or Pure Apple Juice
- 2 whole Cinnamon Sticks
- 1 teaspoon Whole Cloves
- 1 pinch Ground Nutmeg
- 1 whole Lemon, Washed And Sliced
- 1 whole Orange, Washed And Sliced
- 6 ounces, fluid Rum, Dark Or Light (whichever You Prefer)
- In a medium-sized pot, add apple cider (apple juice), cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg, lemon, and orange. Bring to a low boil over medium high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for at least 30 minutes.
- To serve, add 1 oz. of your preferred rum to each mug. Top with hot apple cider and garnish with lemon or orange slice and cinnamon stick.
- Store any leftovers in the fridge and heat it up by the mug full when you want a little warming treat. Makes a wonderful non-alcoholic drink for kids if you omit the rum.
- Note: 1/2 gallon is approximately equal to 2 liters.
