Meat Loaf With Stuffing(Buddy'S Favorite Meat Loaf Recipe)
- 3 lb. ground beef
- 3 c. fresh bread crumbs
- 1 c. minced onions
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 3 Tbsp. horseradish
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1/4 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 2 (8 oz.) pkg. sharp cheese, grated
- snipped parsley
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0.
- Mix ground beef, crumbs and onions lightly into eggs.
- Add remaining ingredients except cheese and parsley; mix lightly.
- Divide into 3 parts; put 1 part into a 10 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- Cover with 6 ounces cheese.
- Spread with second part of ground beef mixture.
- Cover with 6 ounces cheese. Spread with remaining ground beef mixture.
- Invert loaf onto jelly roll pan or foil-covered cookie sheet, turning up edges of foil to form rim.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Sprinkle top with rest of cheese. Bake for 5 minutes.
- Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with parsley.
- Slice.
- Yield:
- 10 to 12 servings.
