Banana Cake With Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

  1. For the banana cake:
  2. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Spray a 9"x13" pan with cooking spray and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, thoroughly mash the bananas. Add the sugar, butter, and sour cream, and stir to combine. Add the eggs one at a time, stirring to combine after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and allspice.
  5. Add half the flour mixture to the banana mixture and stir to combine. Then add the other half of the flour mixture, stirring again. Spread batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until nicely browned and a toothpick comes out with no wet batter. The cake surface should bounce back when you press on it. Cool completely before frosting.
  7. For the frosting:
  8. In a large bowl using an electric mixer, combine all of the frosting ingredients until smooth and creamy. Spread frosting evenly over the cooled cake. Slice to serve. Store any remaining cake in the refrigerator.
