Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1/2 c. long grain rice (raw)
- 2 medium chopped onions
- 1/2 medium chopped bell pepper
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. red pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 small head cabbage
- 1 (32 oz.) bottle spaghetti sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 16 oz. water
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. ground thyme
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/4 tsp. ground bay leaves
- 1 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese
- Core cabbage.
- Separate leaves and parboil in salted water until limp.
- Set aside.
- Mix beef and pork, rice, onions, bell pepper, salt, pepper and garlic together well.
- Place about a tablespoon of beef and pork mixture on cabbage leaf that has been cut in half lengthwise.
- Roll, using toothpicks to hold together.
