Blender Chocolate Bavarian

  1. Sprinkle gelatin over cold milk in a 5-cup blender; let stand until gelatin granules are moistened.
  2. Add chocolate (reserve some for garnish, if desired) and hot milk.
  3. Cover; blend at low speed until chocolate melts and gelatin dissolves, about 5 minutes. Stop blender.
  4. Add cream, eggs, sugar and rum; cover and blend at high speed until well mixed.
  5. With blender still running, remove center cap of lid and add ice cubes, one at a time.
  6. Blend until ice melts.
  7. Pour at once into individual dessert dishes; chill until set, about 1/2 hour.
  8. Garnish with dollop of whipped cream and a few chocolate pieces.
