Almond Rice Krispie Squares
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 teaspoons Sea Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Pure Almond Extract
- 1 bag Mini Marshmallows, 10 Ounce Bag
- 6 cups Rice Krispies
- In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat - once it's melted, keep a close eye on it! It will foam, then turn clearish, and then it will turn a lovely light brown color, while beginning to smell nutty & rich. When that happens, turn the heat off!! The time between 'nutty & rich' and 'burned beyond saving' is about fifteen seconds.
- Add the salt & almond extract, and stir gently. Add the marshmallows; stir with a silicon spoon until they melt completely. Add the Rice Krispies, one cup at a time. Stir gently and keep adding until you've used all 6 cups. Spray non-stick cooking spray onto a large baking dish and spread in the deliciousness!
- Traditionally you're supposed to chill these guys completely before eating - good luck waiting that long!
