Shortcut Lasagna
- 1 1/2 lbs. Ground Beef
- 1 tbsp. Salad Oil
- 1 can Tomatoes (3 1/2 cups)
- 1 can Tomato Sauce
- 1 envelope Spaghetti Sauce mix
- 2 tbsp. Sugar
- 1 container Parmesan cheese
- 2 cans V8 JUICE 12 oz. each
- 1 lb. pkg. Lasagna Noodles uncooked
- 2 pkgs. Mozzarella Cheese
- 12 oz. Cottage Cheese
- Heat oil in heavy skillet. Cook ground beef until it loses color and crumbles. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce mix, V8 juice, and sugar. Simmer 10 minutes. Grease loaf pan. 9x13x2. Cover bottom with layer of noodles (uncooked) layer of meat sauce, dot with cottage cheese, 1/3 of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers, making 3 layers. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Cover loosely with heavy aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Remove from oven uncover let stand 5 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve with tossed salad, Italian bread and beverage.
