Baby Ruth Bars
- 1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups White Sugar
- 1 cup Corn Syrup
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 6 cups Corn Flakes (lightly Crushed)
- 1 cup Peanuts
- 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Butterscotch Chips
- Mix the sugars and the corn syrup in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil for one minute and then remove from heat. Add peanut butter and stir until smooth.
- In a separate bowl mix cornflakes and peanuts. Then pour the sugar/peanut butter mixture over and stir. Press into a buttered 9 x 13 pan.
- Microwave chocolate and butterscotch chips about 1 to 1 1/2 minutes. Stir, melt longer if necessary. Stir until smooth then use as frosting.
- You can use milk chocolate chips alone for the frosting but I've found it just a bit too sweet. I can eat way, way, way more of these if I use the semi-sweet/butterscotch chip mixture. So, of course, I do.
