Chocolate Hazelnut Baileys Magic Cookie Bars
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 2-1/2 cups Chocolate Cookie Crumbs, Such As Oreos
- 20 whole Soft Caramels (like Kraft Brand), Unwrapped And Quartered
- 1-1/4 cup Chocolate Chips; Milk Chocolate Or Semi-sweet
- 1/3 cups Hazelnuts, Coarsely Chopped
- 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/3 cups Bailey's Irish Cream
- 1/4 cups Shredded Coconut, Sweetened
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with aluminum foil, and spray with non-stick spray (don't forget the sides of the pan).
- In a medium sized microwavable bowl, melt the butter (heat for 30 seconds at a time until melted). Stir in the cookie crumbs until evenly moistened and spread into the 9x13 inch pan. You may press gently with a spatula to get them evenly spread.
- Scatter the caramels, chocolate chips and hazelnuts over the cookie crust.
- In a medium bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk with the Baileys. Spread as evenly as possible over the crust.
- Bake for 25 minutes. At this point the bars should be lightly browned. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the coconut.
- Allow to cool and set for at least 2 hours before carefully cutting the bars and removing from the foil.
- Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Bars may also be frozen. You may wish to microwave for 10 seconds to soften the caramels before serving.
