Chocolate Silk Pie
- 1-2/3 cup Water
- 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch
- 5 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
- 1 can (14 Oz. Size) Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 3 whole Egg Yolks
- 2 Tablespoons Buter
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Coffee Liqueur (optional)
- 1 whole Baked Pie Crust
- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- Chocolate Sprinkles Or Chocolate Shavings (optional)
- 1. Combine water, cornstarch, cocoa powder, sweetened condensed milk, and egg yolks in a medium-sized sauce pan over medium heat. Continue whisking pudding until it becomes thick (2-5 minutes). Remove from heat and whisk in butter, vanilla, salt, and coffee liqueur (if using).
- 2. Pour pudding into a baked pie crust. Refrigerate until completely cooled.
- 3. To make topping, combine heavy whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla and mix with an electric mixer until the cream thickens, about 1-2 minutes. Dollop on top of cooled pie. Top with chocolate sprinkles or chocolate shavings if desired.
