Creamy Orzo With Greens
- 1/2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1 Tablespoon Onion Powder
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- 1 cup Orzo
- 1 cup Low Fat Milk (1%)
- 1-1/2 cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth
- 1/2 cups Greens (I Used A Mixture Of Baby Spinach, Arugula, Swiss Chard)
- 1. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, add butter. Once melted and spices and orzo. Stir until evenly combined and let orzo toast slightly, for about 2 minutes.
- 2. Add milk and chicken broth and bring to a boil. Stir and reduce heat to medium and simmer until orzo is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed, about 15 minutes.
- 3. Remove from heat, add greens, stir, and let it sit for 2 minutes until all of the liquid is absorbed and greens are wilted.
