Homemade Strawberry Lemonade
- FOR THE SIMPLE SYRUP:
- 1-1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 3 cups Water
- FOR THE STRAWBERRY PUREE:
- 2 pints Strawberries Hulled And Chopped
- 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Cold Water
- FOR THE LEMONADE:
- 3 cups Ice
- 2 cups Freshly Squeeze Lemon Juice
- 1 cup Club Soda
- 1 cup Cold Water
- First, prepare your simple syrup. In a large saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water over medium-high heat. Stir over medium-high heat, until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- For the strawberry puree: In the pitcher of your blender, combine the strawberries, granulated sugar and cold water. Put the lid on and pulse until completely smooth. Set aside.
- For the lemonade: In a gallon-sized pitcher, add the ice. Then add the lemon juice, club soda, cold water, strawberry puree and simple syrup. Stir to fully combine.
- Serve immediately or store in the fridge for a couple of days.
- This recipe makes approximately 1 gallon of strawberry lemonade. Garnish with strawberries and lemon slices if desired.
- This recipe is very sweet. For a more tart lemonade, reduce the amount of simple syrup by 1/2 a cup and replace with 1/2 a cup more of lemon juice.
