Navy Salute Bean Soup
- 2 cans (15 Oz. Size) Navy Beans
- 1 can (15 Oz. Size) White Buttered Beans
- 1/2 cups Heavy Cream
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 2 cups Low Sodium Vegetable Stock
- 1 stick Sweet Cream Butter
- 1/4 teaspoons Each: Black Pepper, Basil
- 2 cups Diced Cooked Ham
- In a large pot (with a lid) over medium heat add the navy beans with juices. In a small bowl, empty contents of the canned white buttered beans and juices. With a fork, mash up (crush) the white beans then add them into the pot. Add heavy cream, milk and vegetable stock into the pot.
- In a microwave safe bowl melt the sweet cream butter (45 seconds in microwave) then add it into the pot of beans. Add pepper and basil and stir well. Add diced ham and stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on medium heat for 30 minutes. Stir soup frequently. Serve! Garnish with your favorite crackers or croutons.
