No-Bake Simple, Customizable Granola Bars
- 1-1/2 cup Rolled Oats
- 1 cup Dates, Pitted
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts
- 1/4 cups Honey (sub. Agave Or Maple Syrup)
- 1/4 cups Seed/Nut Butter
- 1/3 cups Optional Add Ins: Dried Fruit, Chocolate, Coconut Flakes Etc.
- 1. To toast the rolled oats, put them on a baking tray in a single layer. Bake the oats at 350 F for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and set aside.
- 2. Puree the dates in a food processor, or by hand with a fork until soft. If the dates are a little dry and blending is difficult, soak them for 10 minutes in hot water and blend again.
- 3. Add nuts, honey, nut/see butter, toasted oats and chocolate chips (or other add-ins of your choice). Stir until blended.
- 4. Place dough onto a large baking sheet that you've lined with parchment paper. Wet your hands and pat it into a square shape in your desired thickness. Put baking sheet into fridge or freezer to set, approximately 20-40 minutes.
- 5. Cut into eight pieces and serve.
- Adapted from Minimalist Baker. Recipe makes eight 1.5"x3" bars.
