Brown Sugar ‘N Orange Juice Cake
- 1 box White Cake Mix
- Orange Juice (instead Of Water On Box Instructions)
- 3/4 cups Dark Brown Sugar
- 3/4 cups Orange Juice
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 9 X 12- Inch Baking Pan
- Confectioners Sugar, For Dusting
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Prepare the white cake mix according to package instructions, with the exception of substituting orange juice for water.
- Pour into a 9 x 12- inch greased baking pan.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the cake springs back when lightly touched.
- Let the cake rest in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a serving dish.
- While the cake cools, in a saucepan over medium heat, cook the dark brown sugar, butter and orange juice. Let the mixture just come to a boil. Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly. Meanwhile, poke several holes through the top of the cake, at least halfway down through the thickness of the cake.
- Spoon over or very slowly pour the orange juice mixture over the top of the cake.
- Dust the cake with confectioners' sugar.
