Sweet 'N Sour Barbecued Chicken

  1. Sprinkle chickens on all sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, heat oil and saute onion until golden.
  3. Stir in catsup, peach preserves, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and salt.
  4. Stir to blend well; remove from heat.
  5. Place pieces of chicken into a shallow roasting pan in a single layer, bony side up.
  6. Brush chicken with sauce, heavily, and turn, skin side up. Brush chicken with remaining sauce.
  7. Bake in preheated 350u0b0 oven for 1 hour, or until chicken is tender and well glazed.
  8. Serves 8.
