Stromboli
- 6 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. lukewarm water
- mustard
- barbecue sauce
- oregano
- black pepper
- 1 lb. ham, sliced
- 1/2 lb. salami, sliced
- 1 lb. cheese (brick)
- 1/2 lb. Provolone cheese
- 1/2 lb. American white cheese
- onions, peppers and garlic salt
- Mix dough and allow to rise 2 hours.
- Divide into 3 parts because you will be making 3 strombolis.
- After dough has risen, spread dough out onto a greased counter into a large oval.
- Spread thin layer of mustard on dough.
- Next, spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce.
- Sprinkle with oregano, black pepper and garlic salt.
- Down center of dough, put a row of ham slices over salami, onions and peppers.
- Over that, put a generous portion of grated cheeses all mixed together.
- Bring sides of dough up over top and secure with skewers or toothpicks.
- Spread butter or oil over top and sprinkle with black pepper and oregano.
- Bake on a cookie sheet at 400u0b0 for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Slice down and eat with fingers.
