Big Batch Crockpot Hot Chocolate With Pepperminty Marshmallows

  1. For the hot chocolate:
  2. In a saucepan mix together cocoa and sugar. Gradually add water while stirring. Bring to a boil while stirring constantly and allow to boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and add sweetened condensed milk and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Stir until chips are melted and everything is combined. (If necessary, mixture can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator for a few days until needed.)
  3. Place chocolate mixture in a 5-quart crockpot and gradually stir in whole milk. Heat on low until warm.
  4. For the marshmallows:
  5. Coarsely crush peppermint candy or canes in a food processor and place in a shallow bowl. Melt chocolate bark in a shallow bowl in the microwave, following package instructions. Dip marshmallows in chocolate and then in crushed peppermint candies. Place on plastic wrap until chocolate is set. Serve with hot chocolate.
