I Love You Cookies

• 1 c. butter or margarine
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 2 tsp. vanilla
• 1/3 c. light corn syrup
• 2 eggs, separated
• 2 1/2 c. flour
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 2 c. finely chopped walnuts
• 21 oz. can cherry pie filling

1. In large bowl of electric mixer, beat butter, sugar and vanilla ontedium speed until light and fluffy.
2. Beat in corn syrup and

4. yolks.
5. Stir
6. in flour and salt until blended. Refrigerate
7. dought0 minutes.
8. Roll dough into 1-inch balls. In small
9. bowl,
10. lightly
11. beat
12. egg
13. whites.
14. Dip balls in egg whites and
15. roll
16. in walnuts.
17. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheets.
18. With thumb, make deep indentation in center of each cookie.
19. Bake

21. 325u0b0 for 20 minutes.
22. Cool.
23. Fill with cherry filling.
