Creamy Maple Apple Pie

  1. Combine sugar, salt, and cornstarch. Toss lightly with apples until well coated.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine syrup and cream. Pour over apple mixture. Mix well. Set aside.
  3. Roll pie crust to 1/8 inch thickness and ease into a deep dish pie plate. Spoon filling into the shell.
  4. Roll out the top of the pie crust and fit onto the filled pie. Cut vents for steam, brush with some milk and sprinkle with sugar.
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes or until your crust is golden brown.
  6. Note: It's a GOOD IDEA to put some aluminum foil under your pie to protect your oven from overflow!
