Baked “Fried” Onion Rings
- 4 Sweet Vidalia Onions
- 3/4 cups Flour
- 4 Eggs
- 2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sea Salt (or Kosher Salt)
- 1/4 teaspoons Garlic Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Onion Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- 2 cups Seasoned Panko Breadcrumbs
- Preheat the oven to 425 F. Peel then slice the onions into slices that are roughly 1/4 inch in thickness.
- In one bowl, add the flour and eggs and beat them together. Add the Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika.
- In a separate bowl (or Ziplock bag) add the panko.
- Coat each onion ring with the seasoned flour/egg mixture then coat each piece with the panko.
- Arrange onions on a greased cookie sheet in an even layer. Bake at 425 F for 7-10 minutes or until desired "crunch" is reached.
