Baked “Fried” Onion Rings

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 F. Peel then slice the onions into slices that are roughly 1/4 inch in thickness.
  2. In one bowl, add the flour and eggs and beat them together. Add the Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika.
  3. In a separate bowl (or Ziplock bag) add the panko.
  4. Coat each onion ring with the seasoned flour/egg mixture then coat each piece with the panko.
  5. Arrange onions on a greased cookie sheet in an even layer. Bake at 425 F for 7-10 minutes or until desired "crunch" is reached.
