Easy Fudge
- 1/2 cups Milk
- 1/2 cups Butter (See Note)
- 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/8 teaspoons Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 cups Nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cups Peanut Butter *(SEE BELOW)
- 1/2 cups Cocoa *(SEE BELOW)
- Mix the milk, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and salt in a pan. Cook on medium heat until boiling. Boil exactly 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove pan from heat and add vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat with mixer or whisk until smooth and thick. Add nuts, if desired.
- Pour onto a buttered pan and put in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes. Cut and serve. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Makes about 1 pound of fudge.
- *Peanut Butter Fudge
- Reduce the butter to 1/4 cup and add 1/2 cup peanut butter.
- *Chocolate Fudge
- Use basic recipe without peanut butter and add 1/2 cup cocoa with the powdered sugar.
