Easy Fudge

  1. Mix the milk, butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and salt in a pan. Cook on medium heat until boiling. Boil exactly 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
  2. Remove pan from heat and add vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat with mixer or whisk until smooth and thick. Add nuts, if desired.
  3. Pour onto a buttered pan and put in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes. Cut and serve. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  4. Makes about 1 pound of fudge.
  5. *Peanut Butter Fudge
  6. Reduce the butter to 1/4 cup and add 1/2 cup peanut butter.
  7. *Chocolate Fudge
  8. Use basic recipe without peanut butter and add 1/2 cup cocoa with the powdered sugar.
