Mandarin Orange Bread
- 2 Tablespoons Melted Butter
- 1-1/2 cup Mandarin Orange Slices, Drained But Juice Reserved
- 1/4 cups Mandarin Orange Juice
- 1/4 cups Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Yeast
- 3-1/2 cups All-purpose Flour (may Need Up To 4 Cups)
- 1/4 cups Water
- 1 whole Egg White
- Sesame Seeds, For Topping
- Mix butter, orange segments, orange juice, sugar, salt and yeast. Add flour 1 cup at a time and continue mixing until dough is elastic. Place in greased bowl, turning to coat and cover with damp towel to rise.
- After dough has doubled in size, punch down and knead a few times. Shape into a loaf and add to a greased bread pan. Cover with damp towel. Allow to rise for 45-60 minutes.
- When the bread has finished rising, whisk together water and egg white. Brush gently over surface of bread and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 400u0b0F for 25-30 minutes, until lightly browned.
