Feta Bread Bites

  1. Combine yeast, water and sugar in a cup and let it sit for ten minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, add yeast mixture, olive oil, salt and garlic powder, and slowly add flour until all combined. Add a teaspoon of water at a time, if needed, to combine the dough.
  3. Cover the bowl with a towel and let dough rise for 1 hour then knead and separate into 1-1/2 inch balls.
  4. Set oven to 425 F. In a small bowl, combine the feta, mozzarella and parsley. Set aside.
  5. Flatten each ball into a thin round and place two teaspoons of the cheese filling onto the center of each round. Fold the edges up and over the cheese and roll back into a ball. Set the dough balls on a parchment paper lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches in between each.
  6. In a small bowl, beat egg and water. Lightly brush tops of biscuits with egg mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
