Applesauce Chocolate Chip Cake
- 2-1/2 cups Flour
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoons Cloves
- 1/2 teaspoons Freshly Cracked Black Pepper
- 2 cups Applesauce
- 2 whole Eggs, Beaten
- 1/2 cups Vegetable Oil
- 1 stick Butter, Melted
- 1 package (12 Oz) Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a bundt pan.
- Whisk flour through pepper together (dry ingredients plus sugar). Whisk in applesauce, eggs, oil, and butter. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour in the pan and bake for about one hour and fifteen minutes, or until a toothpick comes out almost clean. Let cool. This is really delicious served with creme fraiche. I apologize for introducing you to this.
