Banana Toffee Scones
- 2 cups Flour
- 1/4 cups Sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 cups Chocolate Covered Toffee Bits
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 6 Tablespoons Cold Butter
- 2/3 cups Buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/3 cups Smashed Brown Banana
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Combine all of the dry ingredients (flour through cinnamon) in a large bowl. Add the butter and cut it in with a fork until well mixed. Create a well in the center of the mixture and add the milk, vanilla, and bananas. Gently mix until everything is incorporated.
- Place the dough on a non-stick baking sheet and pat into an 8-inch circle that is about 1 inch thick. Use a knife and gently score the dough into 8 wedges (don't cut all the way through, just lightly score it).
- Bake at 400 F for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and cut through the score marks spacing the wedges out a bit. Place back in the oven for 5 minutes. Remove pan from the oven and place on a wire rack until cool. Store in a sealed container for 4-5 days. Makes 8 scones.
