Chocolate Dipped Cookies (Bite-Sized)
- 1-1/2 cup Butter Flavored Crisco Shortening
- 2-1/2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1/4 cups Milk
- 2 Tablespoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 whole Eggs
- 3-1/2 cups Flour
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 pinches Nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 18 ounces, weight Milk Chocolate Morsels
- 24 ounces, weight Chocolate Candy Bark, For Dipping
- Combine Crisco, sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat in eggs. Add dry ingredients and combine thoroughly. Add in morsels.
- To make these bite-sized, I used a small 1 tablespoon scoop.
- Bake in a 375u0b0F oven for 8-11 minutes, until lightly browned on top. Of course, I recommend using a stone to cook these on, to get even browning.
- Cool completely. Melt chocolate bark according to package directions. Dip bottoms of cookies in chocolate and lay (chocolate side down) directly on parchment paper. Allow to set (about 15 minutes). Store covered.
- Recipe makes 11 dozen bite-sized cookies.
