Frosted Spice Cookies

  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add molasses, egg and milk; mix well.
  3. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt.
  4. Gradually add to creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in walnuts, raisins and dates.
  6. Chill for 30 minutes.
  7. Roll dough out on a lightly floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness.
  8. Cut with a 2 1/2-inch cutter.
  9. Place on greased baking sheets.
  10. Bake at 350u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
  11. Cool completely. Yields 5 to 6 dozen cookies.
