Front Porch Iced Tea
- 10 cups Water, Divided
- 1 cup White Sugar
- 2 cups Boiling Water
- 2 envelopes Family Size Tea Bags
- 12 ounces, fluid Frozen Lemonade, Thawed
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tablespoon Almond Extract
- To make the sugar syrup: In a 1-quart sauce pan, mix 2 cups water and 1 cup sugar. Cook and stir until dissolved; set this aside.
- In a 4-quart pitcher or bowl, pour the boiling sugar water over the tea bags. Let this stand for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags from the sugar water.
- Add the remaining 8 cups of water, the thawed lemonade, vanilla, and the almond extract.
- Serve over ice. Garnish with a fresh peach slice.
- This recipe could definitely be altered to taste preferences, such as leaving out the extracts and adding in more lemon or maybe even orange instead of almond. The possibilities are endless. The serving amount varies based on the size of your glasses and how thirsty people are for some tea.
