Brown Butter White Chocolate Pretzel Blondies
- 1-1/2 cup Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 3/4 cups Butter, Browned And Cooled
- 1-1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar, Tightly Packed
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 cup Pretzels, Crushed
- 1 cup White Chocolate M&Ms Or White Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line a 9x13 sheet pan with aluminum foil and spray the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk the browned butter with the brown sugar until well-blended. Add the eggs and vanilla and whisk to combine. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet using a spatula. Mix just until combined; do not overmix.
- Fold in the pretzels and the white chocolate M&Ms and mix until distributed. Transfer the batter to the prepared pan and bake for 22-25 minutes. The top will be shiny and somewhat crackled. Remove and cool completely on a wire rack before cutting.
- Notes:
- To crush the pretzels, I put them in a sandwich bag and broke them with my hands until they reached the consistency I was after.
- I used the whole bag of M&Ms, which is more than 1 cup, but I didn't want them left sitting around the house. The bars will be full of them so feel free to use less.
- You do not have to brown the butter for this recipe. If you would rather, just melt 12 tablespoons of butter and allow it to cool before using it.
