Cabernet Ganache Swirled Brownies

  1. For the brownies:
  2. Preheat your oven to 350u0b0F. Line a 13x9 baking dish with parchment paper and grease with either butter or your Misto sprayer and set aside.
  3. In a medium size sauce pan over low heat, melt butter and chopped unsweetened chocolate. Once the chocolate has melted and is smooth, add in the sugar. Add in the eggs, whisking after each addition. Stir in vanilla and the Cabernet.
  4. In a large bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Pour the chocolate/sugar mixture into the bowl; stir until all the ingredients are incorporated and set aside.
  5. For the ganache:
  6. In a small sauce pan combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, butter and Cabernet. Heat over low and stir constantly until smooth and silky.
  7. Spread 2/3 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spoon the wine-ganache over top. Pour remaining 1/3 batter over the ganache and spread with a knife or offset spatula.
  8. With a sharp knife, make a couple zig-zags through the brownies to create a swirl pattern, then place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes (in my oven it was more like 25 minutes so watch carefully!).
  9. Let cool completely before removing the brownies.
  10. Cut and serve and enjoy!
