Salted Dulce De Leche Hot Chocolate
- 4 Tablespoons Dulce De Leche
- 1-1/4 cup Milk (we Used Skim)
- 2 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Fleur Se Del
- FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM (optional):
- 1/2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the dulce de leche. Whisk in the milk and cocoa powder until combined and smooth. Whisk in the salt next. Heat until warm.
- Meanwhile, prepare whipped cream (optional). In a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, whip, on medium-high speed, heavy cream and sugar until soft peaks form. Be careful not to over-beat.
- Serve hot chocolate immediately topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a garnish of dulce de leche or a dusting of cocoa powder. Or both!
