Egg Strada(Great For A Brunch Or Lunch)
- 12 to 16 slices sourdough bread, crusts removed
- butter
- 1 lb. grated sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 pkg. spicy Brown 'N Serve sausages
- 4 eggs
- 1 qt. milk
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- paprika
- Butter bread slices on one side.
- In a 13 x 9-inch baking pan, arrange bread in a layer and cover with half of the cheese.
- Cut sausages into bite size pieces and spread over cheese.
- Make a second layer of buttered bread slices and top with remaining cheese.
- In blender, beat eggs, milk and mustard.
- Pour egg mixture over bread and cheese.
- Dust with paprika.
- Let stand, covered, in refrigerator overnight.
- Bake, uncovered, at 325u0b0 for 1 hour.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
- Additional cheese may be added according to taste.
- Serves 8.
