Animal-Style Fries
- 1/2 bags (26 Oz. Size) Frozen "Fast Food French Fries"
- 1/2 whole Yellow Onion, Finely Minced
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 4 slices American Cheese
- 4 Tablespoons LiteHouse Original Thousand Island Dressing
- 1 dash Salt
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees (F) - or whatever temperature is specified on your frozen potato packaging.
- Lay the French fries out onto a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 12-15 minutes (depending on packaging) until the fries are crispy.
- While the fries are baking, finely mince a yellow onion. Over medium-high heat, melt 1 Tablespoon of butter in a pan. Add the onions and cook until caramelized and dark brown (about 10 minutes).
- Remove the fries from the oven when they are done and sprinkle them with salt. Move the fries to a smaller baking dish (9x9). Lay the 4 slices of American Cheese on top of the fries and sprinkle the onions on top of the cheese. Put the fries back into the oven and bake for 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted.
- To serve, spoon about 4 Tablespoons of Thousand Island Dressing on top of everything and spread it out over the cheese and onions.
