Cream Cheese Squares

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan.
  2. Press one can of crescent rolls into the bottom of the pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese (make sure it's at room temperature), 3/4 cup sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Spread mixture over the crescent layer. Place in the fridge for 10-15 minutes.
  5. When removed from the fridge, add a layer of blackberry jam over the cream cheese mixture. (I usually just eyeball the exact amount, and use just less than a small jar of jam.)
  6. Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and lay over the jam. Do not press down.
  7. Pour melted butter on top.
  8. Combine the remaining 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven, until top is crisp and golden.
  10. These are delicious served warm out of the oven, or after being cooled in the fridge.
