Chinese Chop Salad
- FOR THE SALAD:
- 1 whole Romaine Heart, Chopped
- 2 cups Shredded Cabbage
- 1 cup Shredded Carrot
- 1 whole Red Bell Pepper, Stem And Seeds Removed Then Chopped
- 3 whole Green Onions, Sliced
- 1/2 bunches Cilantro, Chopped
- 1-1/2 cup Bean Sprouts
- 1 cup Mandarin Orange Sections (from A Can)
- 1/2 cups Toasted Almonds
- 1 package Ramen Noodles, Crushed, 3 Ounce Package
- FOR THE DRESSING:
- 2 cloves Garlic, Finely Minced
- 1 Tablespoon Grated Ginger
- 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
- 2 Tablespoons White Wine Vinegar
- 1/4 cups Canola Oil
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Stir all of the dressing ingredients together in a small bowl. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine all of the salad ingredients and toss with dressing. Top with more almonds and ramen noodles if desired and serve immediately.
- *If desired, use a store bought Sesame Ginger Dressing, such as Newman's Own. Use 3/4 cup dressing if you do this.
- *Discard the seasoning packet that comes with the noodles. You don't use them in this recipe.
